Akustica, a pioneer in MEMS technology, is the developer of the world's first single-chip silicon microphone, a technology that improves the quality of voice input on notebook PCs, mobile phones and other portable media devices.
What We Did: Vetrano Communications launched Akustica's first product, the AKU2000, the industry's first CMOS MEMS chip. As Akustica's PR reps, we secured hundreds of positive articles in domestic and international publications, including front-page coverage in EE Times, feature-length articles in electronics trades, industry analyst newsletters, and more.
Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI) defines innovation and excellence in signal processing. ADI's analog, mixed-signal and digital signal processing (DSP) integrated circuits (IC) play a fundamental role in converting, conditioning and processing real-world phenomena such as light, sound, temperature, motion and pressure into electrical signals used in a wide array of electronic equipment. But that doesn't begin to capture the essence of what Analog Devices does for our customers, and ultimately for the end user.
What We Did: Vetrano Communications worked closely with several groups within Analog Devices, representing the Integrated Audio Group (IAG) in a long-term relationship and engaging in numerous high-priority projects with the Analog and Semiconductor Components (ASC) division of the company. We created a proactive reviews' program for the SoundMAX digital audio system, a PC audio technology that became the recognized leader in its market—with a global customer base including the top PC OEMs, motherboard manufacturers and system integrators. We ran a successful reviews program, securing glowing coverage in the most widely read PC publications, including Tom's Hardware Guide, PC Magazine and Anandtech. Our work for the division has been recognized as a contributing factor to the success of SoundMAX.
Vetrano Communications also launched numerous PR campaigns for ASC, publicizing the company's first JPEG2000 chip and a newly launched intelligent thermal systems controller for low-acoustics PCs.
Maria Vetrano also held the internal position of director of public relations for ADI's Digital Signal Processing Systems division, where she created a global PR infrastructure for the division and played a hands-on role in executing media relations strategy for her group.
